From the very beginning of the 20th century and earlier the Lines Bros released a collection of catalogues. Unfortunately most of the oldest catalogues got lost during the bombardment of the main factory in Merton, Summer 1940. Above price list No. 6 dated June 1885.

In Holland we found this beautiful cardboard advert dated 1960.  It hang for over 40 years in a toyshop in the Dutch city Dordrecht.

Although is was printed in England, we think it has been drawn by hand by a Dutch Artist " Van Der Zijde" who signed it .

Years later the same cardboard showed up in the U.S.A. with the "Cool Look" addition.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1.Fold the pyramid to shape along the three sides.
2.Bend back the flap 'A' at right angles.
3.The two short tabs 'B' should be bent back flush against the tab 'C' which is then passed through the slot between 'A' and the face of the pyramid from the outside.
4.The tabs 'B' should then be straightened out to secure the assembly.
5. The two tabs 'D' are to secure the pyramid to the layout. They may be cut off if not required. There was .also a Tri-ang TT pyramid which was the same size and with the same instructions inside but was Yellow with Red writing,

                                                         LOOKING BACKWARDS AND LOOKING FORWARDS

                                                               BY  WALTER LINES

Walter Lines here traces the history of Tri-ang from its beginnings to its various factories around the world as of 1958. It is profusely illustrated in black/white, showing the different factories and shop floors, famous visits and openings, and the different work forces in each country. Walter goes on to speculate about future developments.

CHRISTMAS club card

The Christmas Club cards were used to record customer's installments by shopkeepers, as it was common years ago for people to pay gradually, in advance, for expensive Christmas presents. ( Mr.David Bowers thank you for the sample and this information )
